Governance and Disclosures

Symolem advises on trust, verification and product transparency. We hold ourselves to the same standard. This page brings together the policies, statements and disclosures that govern how Symolem Limited and Symolem-ID Ltd operate, and it will grow as the business does. Documents are published here as they are adopted, with the date of the current version shown against each one.

Section 1

Who we are

The Symolem group comprises two entities, each registered in England and Wales at Porton Science Park, Porton Down, Salisbury, Wiltshire:

  • Symolem Limited — sustainability advisory, policy and consultancy practice.
  • Symolem-ID Ltd — AI-native Digital Product Passport verification platform for retail, incorporated February 2026.

The two entities operate independently of one another. Symolem Limited provides advisory services to regulators, standards bodies and brands. Symolem-ID Ltd operates verification infrastructure. This separation is deliberate: it means our advisory work is not shaped by platform commercial interests, and our platform is not captured by any single client relationship.

Section 4

Methodology transparency

Verification is only as credible as the methodology behind it. Symolem publishes plain-language summaries of its frameworks so that clients, regulators and researchers can understand how assessments are made.

Section 5

Raising a concern

Anyone who believes Symolem, or anyone acting on its behalf, has fallen short of the standards on this page can raise it with us directly and, if preferred, confidentially. Concerns may relate to the accuracy of verification outputs, data handling, conflicts of interest, financial impropriety or conduct towards people.

Concerns should be sent to concerns@symolem.com, which is monitored by the Chief Executive. Reports are acknowledged within seven days and the reporter is told the outcome, or given an update, within three months. No one raising a concern in good faith will face any detriment for doing so.

As the team grows, this route will move to an independently operated, anonymous reporting platform.
