Green claims substantiation

From 27 September 2026 the EU bans generic environmental claims unless they are substantiated (Directive 2024/825, EmpCo), and the UK CMA can fine directly under the DMCC. Symolem-ID holds each claim on a product — recycled content, organic fibre, country of origin, a certification logo — against the certificate, test report or supplier attestation that supports it, checked against the issuing registry and dated.
Claim to evidence
One claim, one piece of evidence, one owner. If a product page says 100% recycled polyester, the record shows which transaction certificate covers that batch and who supplied it.
Registry-checked
Certificates and supplier identities are verified against the issuing registry, not read off a PDF. That check is the Symolem Verified mark.
Expiry tracked
When a certificate lapses, the claims that depend on it are flagged before the next order goes to print, not after a regulator asks.
Symolem-ID does not rule on whether a claim is lawful. It shows whether the evidence exists, where it came from and whether it is still valid — the file you hand to a lawyer, a buyer or a market surveillance officer.

Symolem-ID prepares your product data and audits your evidence against global requirements, starting with the EU ESPR. Symolem does not build consumer passport apps or compete with DPP providers. Symolem-ID is the verified data source that makes them work: primary evidence audited, data structured to open standards, and a single Verification ID that passes cleanly into whichever provider you choose or your retail partner requires.

Symolem Verified means the identity and certificates on a record were checked against the issuing registries by Symolem-ID on a stated date. It is not a site or product inspection — that is a Stamp attestation. The mark lapses automatically when a checked certificate expires.
Our Digital Product Passport code was accepted by the EU registry on the day it opened — 20 July 2026.
